Seventh Generation and CleanWell partner on bringing non-toxic, botanical based cleaner disinfectant to America’s household

When Seventh Generation announced Jeffrey Hollender’s stepping down as CEO and the hiring of Chuck Maniscalo to lead the ambitious plans of growing the organization from $150 million in annual sales to $1 billion, I wrote that they should enter the antimicrobial market, one that has been enjoying double figures growth for the last ten years and that a natural partner they should consider was Cleanwell, which has developed a unique non-toxic, pure essential oils antimicrobial technology.

Last month (yes, I know I have been that busy), the news came out that the two pioneering green companies were to partner to bring a new product line of cleaner disinfectants that harnesses the same power and delivers the same benefits as CleanWell’s Natural Hand-Sanitizer and Antimicrobial Hand Soap and Seventh Generation’s household cleaners. I have had the chance to test two of the disinfectant cleaners at home and I can attest of their cleaning potency. They work better than the current cleaning brands on the market. There is nothing that could have made me more proud and happier than this alliance between two companies that manufacture environmentally safe products without compromise. Ya, I feel some pride because in the old days (circa 2004) when Sam DeAth, his brother Joshua, Larry Weiss and I were building the vision of what did become CleanWell, we wanted dearly to offer a natural, environmentally safe, non-toxic alternative to the toxic chemicals that are being used by the tons all over the world. And it has happened, without me and Joshua, but it is there, and there is nothing more than I wish to say but great job guys and thank you for making this dream come true.
